The IRONMAN triathlon is officially recognized as a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run with a 17 hour time limit. It's one of the premier races in the triathlon community.
The most famous race is the Ironman Triathlon World Championships along the beautiful coast and steamy lava fields of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in the middle of October, but IRONMAN races have spread all across the globe, across many different continents and cultures.
