The Ironman 70.3, also known as a Half Ironman, has become one of the fastest growing and most popular triathlon series in the world. The 70.3 series has over 30 venues across the globe with thousands of triathletes participating in every race.

The 70.3 series gets its name from the total distance of the race which is exactly half of the full Ironman distance of 140.6 miles.

The 1.2 mile Swim, 56 mile Bike, and 13.1 mile Run series culminates in November at the World Championships in Clearwater, FL where the weather is perfect for the 70.3 Finale. The reigning 2008 World Champions are Terenzo Bozzone from New Zealand and Joanna Zeiger from Colorado, USA.
